Two mothers came to King Solomon fighting over a child and each claiming the child to be her own. King Solomon called for his sword, and declared that the baby would be cut in two, each woman receiving one half. One mother did not contest the ruling, and the second mother begged him to give the baby to the other mother and not kill the child.

King Solomon then declared that the second mother was the true mother, as she would give up her right to care for the baby in order to save the child’s life.

Our organization is named in honor of King Solomon and inspired by his great wisdom resolving this custody dispute in the best interest of the child.
